For British people - you wouldn't normally set foot in a place like this in Britain as it doesn't look like what we consider to be presentable or hygienic. However in the States this is obviously acceptable as the Americans seem to love it. Nowhere to sit and this part of Manhattan was a bit rough. No offence to the owner, this is just my perception.

Ray's somehow brought about feelings of nostalgia yet I've never been before in my life. He reminded me of when I used to go to the Oklahoma State Fair. In contrast to fair food it was delicious and not greasy or artery-clogging. Stepping out of the rain into Ray's was an almost exquisite and fancy experience. I highly recommend the fried Oreos to anyone as their warm delicious as especially if it is raining you won't regret it 😉

Best fried Oreos I've ever had... It was lightly coated with a crunch in every bite....the man behind the counter with the dirty shirt was very friendly and even gave a sample of their classic egg cream. 😊
